SAT Writing + Language / ACT English - The Ultimate Walkthrough
If you want a high SAT Writing + Language or ACT English score, you need to know all the most important grammar rules of the English language - but, MORE importantly - you also need to know how to APPLY those rules to these tests! If you have the right grammar, but you don't know the strategies and tactics, you'll often fall for tricks and run out of time. Conversely, even if you DON'T know every grammar rule, you can often find the right answer simply by following proper strategy!
The following video is a full walkthrough of my ENTIRE process for the SAT Writing + Language section - and because the New SAT is basically a carbon copy of the ACT, you can use these strategies for both tests with only minor alterations. This material used to be reserved exclusively for my private coaching students, but because I'm in a Santa-esque mood, I decided to share it with you all!

    Bruh just plug each of them into a^3 = 3a and see which works, do you not know exponents? For option b you’ll notice that plugging in 3^(1/2) gives you 3^(3/2) on the left hand side and 3 * 3^(1/2) on the right hand side you can change the right hand side to look like the left hand side by adding the exponents 1 and 1/2 to get 3/2.

    a × a × a = a + a + a a³ = 3a a³ - 3a = 0 Factor "a" out a(a² - 3) = 0 Rewrite 3 as (√3)² a(a² - √3²) = 0 Difference of squares a² - b² = (a - b)(a + b) a(a - √3)(a + √3) = 0 So, a = 0 a - √3 = 0 →a = √3 a + √3 = 0 → a = -√3

    a * a * a = a + a + a a³=3a a³-3a = 0 [got a bit confused here] a(a²-3) = 0 Either a = 0 or a² - 3 = 0 a² = 3 a = √3 or a = -√3 So, either a = 0, a = √3 or a = -√3. Plotting x(x²-3)=y [taking a = x] on the graph has 3 points intersect on the x-axis, thus, showing that there are three zeroes, as I equated the expression to zero. From the options, a=√3. (Rate my solution, I am a nerd :3)

    a.a.a = a+a+a a.a² = 3a (a.a²)/a = (3a)/a a² = 3 a = ±√3 Other answer could be 0, I technically shouldn't divide by a because of that, but since it's not on the alternatives, I think it's ok . And -√3 is not in the alternatives, so it's ok too, only is left the √3

  • @Rizz-hr4qh
    @Rizz-hr4qh 2 місяці тому

    For those who want to know how to actually do it: a x a x a = a +a + a, so a^3 = 3a a^3 - 3a = 0 a (a^2 - 3) = 0: this means that either a is 0 or a^2 - 3 is 0. Since 0 isn’t one of the options, a^2 - 3 = 0 a^2 = 3 a = +- sqrt 3 so the answer is B because there is no negative option.
